September #bookadayuk - Day 30

Theft: A Love Story - Peter Carey Swan Song - Robert R. McCammon The King Must Die - Mary Renault

I've only read three books this month, which are Theft by Peter Carey, Swan Song by Robert McCammon, and The King Must Die by Mary Renault.

I didn't get on with Theft at all. The characters were all pretty disagreeable and I ended up just not caring what happened to them.

Swan Song is a post-apocalyptic novel. Yes, it's similar to The Stand, but it's still a great read, and unlike Theft, I actually cared about the characters and their struggles.

The King Must Die is an old favourite. It's a re-telling of the Geek myth about Theseus and the Minotaur. And I'm a sucker for myths and legends which is why I've read this one quite a few times.

As as for which one was the best... Well it wasn't Theft, that's for sure.
