Nearly halfway through and at times it's a bit of a slog. I've not read anything else by Sanderson, but I understand he completed Jordan's Wheel of Time series, and The Way of Kings is set to be an epic series on a similar scale.
The world-building is interesting, but I still feel as if I've been here many times before. And to be honest I could abandon this book without a backward glance. But I'll persevere for the time being.
