A BOOK WORTH PERSEVERING WITH
I warned you I was going to nominate Wolf Hall for everything. But it really is good. It’s not an easy read, and I admit the first time I tried to read it, I gave up because I didn’t have the time to spend on it. But the second time was different. I had completed a half marathon in the morning, and wanted to spend the rest of the day and evening doing nothing more strenuous than collapsing on the sofa with a book. I picked up Wolf Hall and got completely engrossed. I was living in Tudor England inside Thomas Cromwell’s head thinking his thoughts and seeing through his eyes.
