This was such fun to read; The 100 Year Old Man proves that not all Nordic literature is 'noir'.
Allan Karlsson, who believes that all situations can be improved with vodka, decides he doesn't want to celebrate his 100th birthday in the nursing home, so he climbs out of the window and sets off one hell of a journey.
Along the the way we meet some criminals, Albert Einstein's stupid brother, an elephant and some kind and funny people. And learn a lot about history and Allan's part in some very important world events.
I only wish my history lessons at school had been as funny as this.
