A couple of LBJs
A couple of LBJs

I love watching sea- and shore-birds, but they are buggers to identify when you are a beginner to birding, and they usually end up being categorized as 'little brown jobs' (aka, LBJs).

Our MO when out with the camera, is to try and get as good a photo as possible, then pore through various books and scour the internet to try and find a bird that matches the picture.

So having said that, I think the little chap in the foreground is a semi-palmated plover, and the other is a semi-palmated sandpiper.  And please feel free to correct me if you think I'm wrong.
