DAY - A CHARACTER WHO YOU CAN RELATE TO THE MOST
I loved Tove Jansson's Moomin books when I was a child and the character I always identified with was Little My. Although she is small, she is very determined and relishes her independence. She can be mischievous and disrespectful (the recipients usually deserved it), but is very loyal when she wants to be. And being a shortarse myself, I loved how she never let her small stature prevent her from doing whatever she wanted.
I re-read Moominland Midwinter recently. and I had to smile when Little My discovers how much fun winter can be. She goes tobogganing using a silver tea-tray, and fashions herself some ice-skates from knives. All I could think was, she might be small, but with her attitude, she'd make a darn good hockey player.
