#BookadayUK - Day 6
HAVEN'T GOT AROUND TO
Haven’t got round to?? Have you seen my TBR list??
Until a couple of months ago, I would have chosen Louise Penny’s Three Pines mysteries for this challenge. People have been recommending them since forever, and I picked up Still Life, the first in the series when it was a Kindle daily deal, but with so many other books on my TBR list, I never got round to reading it. However, last month I drew it out of the Candy Bowl and was immediately engrossed (well apart from when I got diverted by Kate Daniels and the Beast Lord). I definitely need to get round to reading the rest of the series.
Others that I’ve eventually got round to this year include the aforementioned Ilona Andrews’ books about Kate Daniels, Anne Bishop’s ‘The Others’ (and whoever borrowed A Murder of Crows from the library back in August, could you please return it. I’m next in line and I’m fed up with waiting), and Scott Lynch’s ‘Gentlemen Bastards’ series.
So after all that, what about the books I still haven’t got round to? I think the books at the top of this list would have to be Kevin Hearne’s Iron Druid chronicles. From what I’ve read, they sound just my kind of thing. All I need to do is find the time to read them.
