Books, hockey, and a bucketful of snark

And it was OK. Entertaining, but not enough for me to want to pick up the sequel. 

There wasn't a great deal of character development, or much in the way of backstory for any of them which made them rather one-dimensional and difficult to care about what happens to them. And I'm not a big fan of insta-love. 

But it it wasn't all bad. I enjoy time travel stories that use the butterfly effect (Ray Bradbury's short story, A Sound of Thunder is terrific) and every time Jack tried to change the past by traveling back in time to the Gardner heist, he would find himself in some very different realities when he returned. 

So yeah, if you want an entertaining piece of candy floss rather than a gourmet meal, give this one a go.
