I don't think I've read a Lehane book I haven't liked.
His characters are always complex and often flawed. The good guys can do bad things, and the bad guys do good things. There is no black and white, just many shades of grey.
If you want a cosy whodunnit, don't read this book. If you want a twisty tale where bad deeds go unpunished, and the lines between good and evil are blurred, then do read this book.
In fact, read all his books. Now.
