Finished it!

Angelfall - Susan Ee

At first I wasn't sure about this. I'm not the biggest fan of the first person present style of writing, because some writers don't do a very good job of it. But done well, it can really add to the immediacy of the story (The Hunger Games is a good example of this).

But I'm a sucker for post-apocalyptic books, and as it turns out I was worrying unnecessarily. Ee pulls off the style very successfully and has written a terrifically exciting novel and she gains extra points for not inserting a crappy love triangle.

The second book is in the Candy Bowl, and I'm hoping I draw it out sooner rather than later. And the third book is definitely getting added to the Reserve List.
