Books, hockey, and a bucketful of snark

I'm going for the Mont Blanc challenge of 24 books, and I'll be recording my progress here.  There are 48 books on the original list so I may try and scale Mount Vancouver too. 

All the books on the list are ones that are either on my bookshelves or ones I've picked up on my Kindle when the price was just too tempting to ignore.  None of them are re-reads and I've not added any book that I intend to read, but haven't actually purchased yet (though there are a couple that I've got my eye on and if I buy them before January 1st, they may get put on there).  

They are in no particular order.  I'm just going to read whatever I fancy at any particular moment. 

Edit: all the titles are now in my Mount TBR candy bowl and I'm drawing them randomly to stop me from trying to avoid books I don't fancy reading.
